The recent spread of COVID-19 has shifted everyone’s focus to supporting everyone’s safety and well-being. It’s the foundation of everything we do and the sole purpose of my profession. My top priority is my client’s health and wellness.
As an occupational therapist and mother of 2, I recognize the importance of keeping our daily routines, as normal as possible, for our children and continue stimulating their growth and development. Therefore, virtual services are provided to continue assisting families thru this difficult time. Occupational Therapy consults and treatments are available. Contact us for more information.
I have launched my Creative Movement classes and Tween Bootcamp classes virtually to keep children active, moving and physically/mentally stimulated. Now, more than ever, I feel it is important to have an outlet for stress and environmental stressors. Children need guidance on how to channel this stress into productive ways for coping and adapting. It’s a creative, fun, multi-sensory approach that includes music, movement, mindfulness and social interaction. I will continue practicing mindfulness as we do in my on-site classes. It also allows parent/caregiver involvement and helps us all to “breathe” in these stressful times.
